Here are some helpful links on how to keep score.  However, for Rec softball you only need to keep the basics:  Balls, Strikes, Outs and Runs -- so some of this may not apply.  It's not important to know HOW the out was made, or to keep stats on the players.  As home team scorekeeper, you're there to help the umpire keep track of the basics.
